TENCENT WEIYUN EXPANDRIVE UPGRADE
Note: I have not bothered to translate the User Agreement ( although it may be worth reading). In distant 2013, while many cloud services gave users several gigabytes of space (2Gb at Dropbox, 7Gb at SkyDrive and 15Gb at Google Drive), and their users, in turn, tried to get another 20Gb upgrade to their Dropbox through referral, China telecom giant Tencent stepped in and changed the rules. Mac users, kindly let me know if they find a way to use the same files on their version. I have only tested this with the Windows version of Weiyun.
TENCENT WEIYUN EXPANDRIVE FOR FREE
Synchronization software for the MEGA online cloud platform with full support for background backup and sync operations with 50GB for free users. It is highly recommended to keep a backup of the original files in case something goes wrong. Weiyun, the cloud storage service from Tencent is offering a massive 10 TB (10240 GB) free cloud storage to its new customers. When prompted, overwrite the original files. All you need to do is extract these files (with WinRAR or 7-zip) into C:\Program Files (x86)\Tencent\weiyundisk\I18N\2052\ (The location may vary depending on your Weiyun installation). These files will change the language of Tencent Weiyun 腾讯微云 version 2.1 (build 943) from Chinese into English. The new version fixes bugs and certain strings seem to hint at the coming of notes to the software in a future version. I have translated the software strings from Chinese to English so those who do not read Chinese can now also use the software. Download the files here ( mirror) and follow the instructions below. Tencent have released a new version of their online storage software Weiyun 微云. Tencent, in an attempt to crawl past local rivals Baidu and Weibo, is offering customers a whopping 10 Terabytes of space on its Weiyun cloud storage service.
